The First Social Media Lunch Cologne a Success!

The first ever Social Media Lunch Cologne

Today the first ever Social Media Lunch Cologne was held in the café Schmitz at the East Asian Museum - and people actually showed up! Even all the way from Bonn! Awesome! Thanks!

Topics ranged from the state of social media acceptance and adaption in Germany to privacy, international regulations and national laws to education of children as well as grown-ups, best and worst cases of social media in the corporate world to the importance of social media to businesses as well as to individuals .

We’re definitely doing this again! And again and again and again!

It was a very healthy mix of professionals and amateurs, sceptics and believers that came together at this very first event. The difference of opinions and vantage points sure made for passionate and interesting conversations. A big thanks to all the participants! YOU make this thing possible – YOU inspire other people with YOUR passions and interests!

What would YOU like to talk or learn more about the next time? You can use our Facebook discussions or comment on this post if you like. Be sure to let your voice be heard! We listen.

The location was also most excellent; Beautiful setting, hot sunny day, friendly staff and great food! The next time we will however pay a bit more attention to the address of the venue to accommodate for participants travelling with public transportation and cars. We will also be lunching in another part of town in solidarity with the guys and gals that couldn’t make it this time around because of the distance.

What is YOUR suggestion for the next location? Schääl Sick? Nippes? Chorweiler? Tell us in our Facebook discussions or post a comment here. (Are you sensing a theme here? Good! It’s all about you. Yes, YOU!)

The next Social Media Lunch Cologne will be taking place on the 15th of July around lunchtime.

We’re looking forward to be seeing you – and remember not to be sorry for long if you can’t make it. The plan is to keep up the frequency and change locations for each lunch so as to increase the probability of you finally being able to make it some day. And when attending, please remember to pay your bill in full and leave a tip!
